I have been rather unorganized over the past few weeks and have more or less just thrown a meal together at the last hour. I hate doing this, that feeling of "its 4 o clock what are we having, whatever it is its in the freezer!! " so its back to menu planning and just shopping for what we need. The freezers and cupboards are full to bursting so its time to get stocks down in time for the few little extras for Christ***. This year we will be away just before then so I really need to plan for that early too.
So on to this weeks Menu, quite simple ( I don't do complicated) lots of things from the freezer and cupboard and a complete shopping list at the bottom which I cut off and took shopping with me.
I came home and made a large vat of Chilli and portioned it up and 2 more trays of roasted veggies as in my post below.
Family came for tea and we had homemade Pizza, again only using what we had in stock. I even found half a chocolate cake in the freezer..yum...
Are you menu planning this week or flying by the seat of your pants and hoping you have enough in stock without having to go to the shops.

I will either menu plan or if I have a well stocked freezer, will take something out for tea (in the morning). Tonight, we are having home made faggots!
ReplyDeleteWe have really cut back on our food shopping, we used to buy things that just got wasted, fresh veg etc, before we could use it. Now we have mostly fresh at the weekend and frozen veg during the week. I have also started buying basics brands and am finding them just as good as the branded items.We have a sort of menu for the week!
